How we keep this community valuable and welcoming.

Treat other members with respect. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, personal attacks, threats, or deliberately offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Healthy disagreement and debate are welcome. Keep discussions constructive and respectful.

Use the appropriate community groups for discussions and keep conversations reasonably relevant to their purpose.

Avoid excessive off-topic messages, repetitive posts, chain messages or content that creates unnecessary noise.

Do not spam the community with advertisements, referral links, promotions or repeated requests.

Members are welcome to share relevant projects, products, events and work in appropriate groups, particularly Showcase & Collaborate, provided they contribute genuine value to the community.

Jobs, internships, fellowships, grants and other opportunities are encouraged.

When sharing an opportunity, provide accurate information and disclose any personal interest you have in it.

Scams, misleading opportunities, pyramid schemes and intentionally deceptive promotions are prohibited.

Do not share another member's personal information, messages, photographs or other private content outside the community without their permission.

Being in the same community does not give permission to add members to mailing lists, groups or contact them repeatedly for unsolicited promotions.

1Talent Africa encourages members to meet, build projects, exchange ideas and collaborate.

Be clear about expectations, responsibilities, ownership and compensation when entering collaborations. Do not misrepresent your skills, work, affiliations or intentions.

Do not knowingly share harmful, fraudulent, illegal or deliberately misleading content.

When sharing information, resources or AI-generated content, use reasonable judgment and avoid presenting unverified claims as established facts.

Give appropriate credit when sharing another person's work, resources or ideas.

Do not knowingly distribute copyrighted, confidential or proprietary material without appropriate permission.

Do not use the community to facilitate fraud, harassment, exploitation, illegal activity or other conduct that could reasonably harm members or the wider community.

If you encounter suspicious or inappropriate behaviour, please report it privately to a community admin.

Community admins may moderate content, issue warnings, restrict participation or remove members who violate these guidelines or whose conduct creates a significant risk to the safety, integrity or purpose of the community.

Serious violations may result in immediate removal without a prior warning.

Moderation decisions will be made in good faith with the aim of protecting the community and its members.
