The name 1TalentAfrica is inspired by the biblical Parable of the Talents, in which a servant entrusted with one talent chooses to bury it rather than put it to work.
We took a different lesson from the story.
The one talent represents the potential we sometimes underestimate—the skills, knowledge, experience, creativity, and abilities we already possess.
Africa is often spoken about through the lens of what it lacks. We want to look at Africa through the lens of what we have.
We believe that talent becomes more powerful when it is developed, connected, shared, and given the right tools. And today, artificial intelligence represents one of the most powerful tools available to us.
We don't want to bury what we have. We want to learn how to leverage it.
